September 2026: no ESPR act for textiles, tires, furniture
For textiles, tires, furniture and mattresses there is still no delegated ESPR act; all procedures remain at the preparatory and consultation stage.

The EU Packaging Regulation has been generally applicable since 12 August 2026 - with substance restrictions, producer obligations and marketplace responsibility.
The implementing act on harmonised packaging labelling, due by 12 August 2026, has not been issued; the 24-month changeover period has not begun.
The European Commission has brought the central registry for Digital Product Passports into operation together with a test environment; the first hard deadline is 18 February 2027.
Article 25 of the ESPR has become applicable: large companies may no longer destroy unsold textiles and footwear, with medium-sized ones following in 2030.
With Implementing Decision (EU) 2026/1736, six of the eight DPP standards are listed in the Official Journal - anyone applying them gains the presumption of conformity with the ESPR.
The new Toy Regulation has entered into force; its requirements, including the Digital Product Passport, apply from 1 August 2030.
